The only thing missing is Passbook! There is access to my library card barcode in the app already, is there anyway to add the library card to passbook? (Passbook adjusts brightness to maximum by default) Data or wifi is not required to launch passbook but it is required for the VPL app. Please add this feature!

Very useful, but it wouldve been better if its iPhone5 optimized.

I was pleasantly surprised this app is so well-made. I currently just use it to renew books, and it does that well. No need to login to the site from my computer!

Its really great for many basic functions like checking your account and placing holds and stuff. However, there is so much potential in this app and it is also lacking in some basic things. • It needs to be optimized for iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, and iPod touch 5th generation. Apps that are made for iPhone 4S or earlier make me nervous that they wont work for iOS 7. • You should be able to put your library card into the phone. Then you can scan your phone instead of your card at the library, which comes in handy since it is much harder to forget to bring your phone. A similar feature exists with Cineplex, which lets you put your SCENE card onto your iPhone. • The pixelated app icon is ugly. Why not keep the app icon seen in the App Store? The one in the App Store looks much better than the current pixelated, multicolored cube. • It should take advantage of notifications on the iPhone and remind you when your books are due. This is a necessity. If this already exists please make it more obvious. • Why are library hours shown with a 24 hour clock? Many Canadians follow the 12 hour clock instead. There should be an option to choose which one we want. • Some of the graphics look old and pixelated but as long as the app works Im okay with it. I do hope it gets an update for iOS 7. TL;DR: this is a great app that can and should be vastly improved to take advantage of the latest things available. I hope this app still works and is updated when iOS 7 comes around.

I have an iPhone 5 with OS7 and I cant login, the app just loads and loads and nothing works. Searching the catalogue is about the only thing this is useful for, which makes it virtually useless.

Does anyone can fix this problem? Seems like its trying to log in forever....

i used this app regularly but w os7, i cannot log in. pls fix!!!!

Used this all the time and loved it before I downloaded iOS 7. No longer lets me log in.

The login screen is blank since updating to ISO 7. So sad as I always use this app to place holds and check my account.

I wish they would make a bigger deal about the fact that this app exists! Its very useful to have an app that allows you to renew books, tells you when things are due, and can even search for specific items based on location - and based on what your location is. Im grateful to the Vancouver Public Library for so many things, but Im now grateful for the convenience that they provided for their service through this app.

Since the update cant open this app. (iPad 5.1.1). No problem before the update.

With this new update, i can not see pictures of books that i could previously see

Makes an already incredible public good, even better and more convenient. Everything you could want + more ( your vpl card barcode for scanning off your phone / an isbn scanner that uses your phones camera ). Brilliant.

Please optimize it for the bigger iPhones. And please let us add our library card to "wallet"

The application boasts a great functionality, however, it needs to be updated and optimized

Best app ever. Easy to navigate and seamless in everyway. Havent had any problems. Free doesnt get any better.
